Booking
How do I book an inspection?
You can book online through tajdeed.com.om by selecting your preferred date, time, and branch. You'll receive instant confirmation via SMS and email.
Is an appointment required?
Appointments are recommended to minimize waiting time, but walk-ins are welcome subject to availability.
Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes, you can reschedule up to 2 hours before your appointment time through your account or by contacting us.
What if I miss my appointment?
If you don't arrive within 15 minutes of your scheduled time, the booking may be forfeited. You can rebook for another available slot.
Inspection Process
How long does a vehicle inspection take?
Most inspections are completed within 20 minutes. Time may vary depending on vehicle type and inspection service required.
What does the inspection cover?
Our comprehensive inspection covers braking systems, tires and wheels, lighting and signals, vehicle body and structure, mechanical systems, and electrical/emissions systems.
Do I need to be present during the inspection?
You can wait in our customer area or leave the vehicle. We'll notify you when the inspection is complete.
How do I receive my results?
Results are available immediately as a digital report. Pass results are automatically transmitted to the ROP system.
Results & Re-inspection
What happens if my vehicle doesn't pass?
You'll receive a detailed report highlighting the specific issues that need correction. Common reasons include brake defects, worn tires, and faulty lighting.
Can I re-inspect my vehicle?
Yes. You get a free re-inspection within 14 days of the original inspection after addressing the reported issues. After 14 days, standard fees apply.
Are inspection results shared with ROP?
Yes, pass results are electronically transmitted to the Royal Oman Police system as required by regulation.
Documents & Requirements
What documents do I need?
Valid vehicle registration card (Mulkiya) and insurance certificate. Additional documents may be required based on inspection type.
Does my vehicle need to be clean?
We recommend ensuring your vehicle is reasonably clean, especially the undercarriage area, for accurate inspection.
What are common reasons for failure?
Brake system defects, worn or damaged tires, faulty lighting systems, excessive emissions, structural damage, and windscreen cracks in the driver's line of sight.
Payment & Pricing
How much does an inspection cost?
Fees start from OMR 5.000 for sedans and SUVs. Commercial vehicles (trucks, buses) have different rates. See our pricing on the booking page.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept online card payments (via Bank Muscat SmartPay) and card payments at the center via NFC tap.
Is the re-inspection really free?
Yes, one free re-inspection within 14 calendar days for the same inspection type. Conditions apply.
